Monday, February 2nd - Storm Chasing - Rob Gallucci

Photographing lightning and storm cells is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences a photographer can have. Whether it's getting a perfect landscape storm shot or an insane bolt of lightning, the experience cannot be beat. There is nothing quite like the adrenaline rush you can experience when chasing a mammoth storm cell and then capture its power.

Monday, March 2nd - Big Bend National Park - Kathy Adams Clark

Big Bend National Park is one of the largest national parks in the United States.  It’s the largest national park in Texas yet one of the least visited.  Join Kathy Adams Clark for this program on the park and her favorite locations to visit.  Kathy and her husband Gary Clark have visited the park for 35 years.  During that time, they’ve learned where to go, when to go, and how to photograph the incredible beauty of the park.  Kathy and Gary’s book Enjoying Big Bend National Park will be offered for sale before and after the program.

Composition (The Fine Art of Seeing) SIG

Second Sunday of each month, 2:00 PM

This SIG focuses on much more than just the basic rules of effective composition. In addition to the principles of design, you might learn about food photography, street photography, photographing flowers, using color, or many other aspects to consider when composing your images. We welcome all levels of learners at the Woodlands Camera Club and hope you leave each class with new ideas and things to practice when you are out shooting!

Video SIG

Second Monday of each month, 7:00 PM

This SIG focuses on creating videos using the cameras you already have. Topics such as lighting, setting up your camera, and basic video editing are covered. All levels of learners are welcome, and we hope you leave each class with new ideas so you can add video to your portfolio.

Post-Processing Special Interest Group (PPSIG)

Third Monday of each month, 7:00 PM

This active and fun group meets monthly to share tips and skills for getting more out of their photos – from cropping to toning down highlights and recovering subjects hidden in the shadows, and from cataloging to scanning, printing, and publishing. Join us for our upcoming photography meetings to enhance your post-processing skills.

Nikon Z SIG

Third Thursday of each month, 11:00 AM

Learning to use your specific camera and practicing photography skills with other similar camera users is both more fun and productive. If you are considering investing in a new camera, learning about it from current owners is invaluable. The Nikon SIG fulfills both opportunities with over 40 experienced members with every model of Nikon camera. Join us to learn more about your camera or to find out if a mirrorless camera is right for you. We meet "as announced" both in-person and on Zoom to share our knowledge and learn even more.

Canon SIG

Fourth Monday of each month, 7:00 PM

Why do we all love the Canon? Well, we can give you a long list of reasons, but basically, it’s FUN to take pictures! The Canon “mini SIG” is very active, not only in sharing pictures and ideas but also in encouraging each other with our questions and answers on our Facebook page, learning constantly from each other as we delve into the mirrorless world of photography and cameras. Join our photography special interest groups and elevate your skills!
